TMORA After-Hours Tour Series – Alexander II: The Russian Abe Lincoln
Enjoy The Museum of Russian Art after-hours! We are happy to continue our series of docent-led specialty tours that will feature an exclusive look into specific aspects of our exhibitions as well a reception of light bites and beverages.  Gather your friends and join us! Reserve in advance as space is limited. Thursday, August 10th – 6:00pm Doors at 5:30pm, Tour begins at 6:00pm Alexander II: The Russian Abe Lincoln –  Led by docent, Marie Grubisich Get to know the tsar you've never heard of!  He liberated 23 million serfs 2 years before Lincoln emancipated the slaves, sent the Russian fleet to protect the Union and introduced primary education to the masses. This tour/discussion will take place in the lower gallery exhibition Gifts & Prayers: The Romanovs and Their Subjects. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund, and a grant from the Wells Fargo Foundation.
