CGEN Voices – solo vocals
Presented by Department of Education and Training
The inaugural Creative Generation Voices (CGEN Voices) program celebrates the vocal strengths of both solo and choral performers. Over 11,000 Queensland state school students have participated in the choral regional finals and 150 vocalists auditioned for a place in the CGEN Voices Soloist State Final which will take place on Friday 4 August here at the Judith Wright Centre.
The Department of Education and Training are proud to provide an opportunity for these students to workshop with acclaimed artists Kate Miller-Heidke and Simon Gallaher. This is an evening that will celebrate and promote the talent of these inspiring students and also showcase the wonderful music programs available in Queensland state schools. With the intention to engage and develop the next generation of performers, we have no doubt audiences will enjoy and celebrate the state finalists of Creative Generation Voices 2017.
