Advanced Bid Writing for Non Profits & Charities – LONDON

Advanced Bid Writing for Non Profits & Charities – LONDON
A practical, interactive workshop giving expert hints and tips to help you turn a good bid into a great bid from the funder’s perspective. A common reason for unsuccessful bids is that the funder reading it is not clear what you are trying to do and what benefits the work will have. This workshop focuses on writing your grant proposal in a clear, concise and convincing way. It takes you through a step-by-step process in order to achieve this. The workshop also tackles other key elements of the bid that will improve its quality, such as your timeline of activities, budget and awkward questions about sustainability. Who is it for? The workshop is aimed at charity, voluntary, community, social enterprise, third sector organisations and other Not For Profit organisations that wish to take their bid writing expertise to the next level.   This is an advanced workshop. It is suitable for anyone who has been on the Introduction to Bid Writing workshop or similar course, anyone with knowledge of the fundamentals of bid writing, and anyone who has previous experience of writing bids. (If you are not sure about the distinction between outcomes and outputs in a grant funding context, you may wish to attend the Introduction to Bid Writing workshop first). Attendees could include employed staff at any level, volunteers and Trustees / Board members.   By the end of the workshop, you will: have an understanding of what makes a good bid great from a funder’s perspective know how to say a lot in a few words have had the opportunity to practise applying the new learning to your own bids and project ideas through a series of practical exercises take away a toolkit containing templates and checklists that you can use immediately and in the future In order to get the maximum benefit from the workshop, please come with a specific project idea or development in mind. Feel free to bring notes or a draft bid to refer to. Please note Introduction to Bid Writing and Advanced Bid Writing are two, separate, half-day workshops designed to complement each other. It is not a requirement to do both workshops, although it is strongly recommended to make sure you have the whole picture and to maximise the benefits to your organisation. The cost is £100 for the Introduction workshop and £100 for the Advanced.  Each workshop must be booked and paid for separately.
